ABOUT PEPPER FIPPS
Bareback bronc champion Pepper Fipps is riding high atop the Rodeo circuit these days. With many buckles on his well worn belt, Pepper shows no signs of slowing down.
Born and raised a true cowboy, Pepper recalls his youth working hard on the family farm tending to the stock, running the tractor and taking care of just about everything a hard working young cowboy could. He reflects fondly on his strong family influences, and recalls how his mother and grandmothers pride in his rodeo endeavors were mixed with equal parts of apprehension.
As good a saddle bronc rider as Pepper is, it may surprise his fans to know he started his rodeo career in 1984 riding bulls and winning in weekend jackpot events in Davie View, Florida. Much of his early success he credits David Morgan with taking him under his wing and showing him the ropes. A positive influence on the young cowboy he set him on the right path toward a successful career. Morgan, among others like Gary Lafew, Chris Ladue, George Straight, Donny Gay, Larry Mayhem, Ty Murray and Lane Frost are all influences Pepper claims as having inspired him in some way throughout his life.
